after one year, the 38mm has the ghostly image and 42mm do not have that but it is used only for 4 months.

thanks Jay.

Both should have the same ghostly image if they're using the same watch face. The ghostly shadow is far less pronounced depending on the watch face such as just the hands in Simple face. Brighter colors such as yellow bleed through more easily.

in the watch app on your phone check the following.

settings -> general -> accessibility -> reduce transparency

Yes, check to see if reduce transparency was set to ON on one AW but not the other. However, I don't know why that'd be if you in fact activated it without even knowing what it was for.

No, it did not work. My iPhone Reduce transparency is ON, the image on my 38mm is still there.

As mentioned. The background is blurred and one of your watches has reduce transparency on and the other off.

Thank you everyone, I mixed, they are gone, on my 38mm watch, go to set up, general, accessibility, and turn ON the labels, on my iPhone I turn On the reduce transparency and labels also ON.

Just so we're all clear on this --

The setting for "Reduce Transparency" is in the Apple Watch app on the iPhone. Go to the app, then My Watch -> General -> Accessibility -> Reduce Transparency.

I set my watch face to this photo for now:

With the setting set to "Off", you get this:

Set it to "On"…

Got it?

I must turn OFF the watch labels without knowing it.

The On-Off Labels setting is NOT related to transparency. Or at least it shouldn't be.

You are RIGHT. I just try it, I turned OFF the labels on the watch and check the ghostly image again, they are also not there, so it does not matter the labels on the watch ON or OFF. Thanks.

Nobody said anything about turning labels on or off so I'm not sure why you're messing with it in the first place. In any case, the Settings app on the AW itself only has access to a limited number of available settings. You must turn transparency on or off using the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.

This supposed "burn-in effect" is merely a feature of the Apple Watch. It can be clearly be disabled in accessibility options and the remove of the "burn-in effect" will be gone. It's just creating a transparent effect, it personally doesn't bother me. Once again it can be found in the accessibility options, it's something to do with visibility or something to that nature.
