I wouldn't use that band or any silicone band if you have a reaction like that.. Yikes!I am having the same problem with my band. I also got the red sport one and prior to this one I had the pink one for over a year and not one issue. I had the red one for about a month and got a severe reaction.
You need to see a doctor right away. I would make sure the doctor fully documents his or her findings. After that, you need to contact Apple.I am having the same problem with my band. That looks bad, aloe will help the rash to heal. I would definitely stop wearing that band immediately and switch to one of the Nylon Sport Loops. Also - once your wrist heals if you want to try that band again wash it really good and clean it with alcohol to remove any chemical residue first.I am having the same problem with my band. Just curious how long were you wearing it before that happened? ThanksI am having the same problem with my band. I also got the red sport one and prior to this one I had the pink one for over a year and not one issue. I had the red one for about a month and got a severe reaction.
Oh I am not. That band will never touch my skin again lolI wouldn't use that band or any silicone band if you have a reaction like that.. Yikes!
It was about a month. I got it first week of January and by mid February it was like that. Apple told me to keep it off for 2 days and I didn’t wear it for 2 weeks and decided to give it another try and within 6 hours it literally burn my wrist and I had blisters all over the wrist for like 3 days. Finally after putting steroid cream my doctor prescribed me it started to go away but now I have a scar all over my wristJust curious how long were you wearing it before that happened? Thanks
I went and saw 2 different doctors and contacted apple and they told me that my skin is the problem and that their band is not to blame even though I don’t have sensitive skin and never had a reaction to anything before. I wore fitbits for years and then series 5 Apple Watch for about a year and never once had any issues until I got this red one.You need to see a doctor right away. I did try that. I didn’t wear it for over 2 weeks. Washed it and cleaned it and within a few hours I got even a worse reaction than the first timeThat looks bad, aloe will help the rash to heal. ...but seriously, I bought a magnetic metal band for my wife's fitbit a few years ago. She wore it for two days and broke out with prickly hives from her wrist up to her elbow. It took over a month to clear up. 😟
I never used anything under the watch yet as it is cold outside LOL I bought a cheap Amazon breathable band and haven’t had issues at all. I heard from a lot of people that red dye they put in bands causes a reaction to a lot of people. Didn’t think I would be one of those people as I never had an allergic reaction to anything. I wore fitbits and Apple Watch series 5 with the same band, only different color and not one issue until I decided I wanted the fancy red one. Big mistake.I've had an skin irritation too, exactly in the same spot (under my hand).
The cause of that irritation was that I mixed two chemicals... body cream and sunblock lotion, then I weared my watch with a sport band, on a very hot day in Las Vegas 🤪
I don't know if the watchband plastic did a reaction too with sweat+body cream+sunscreen... I stopped using together on my hand, and Voilá! No burns or skin irritation...
Yeppp. That was me. I'm wearing a metal band now.Just wanted to chime in that in the last three days I have developed the same kind of rash in exactly the same position on my wrist (palm side) as others have posted with my series 6 Nike sports strap. I’ve had the watch, and worn it religiously every day, since October last year and only now have I started with problems. I swapped over to my other wrist and within 24 hours started to get a mirror image of the same mark. Very weird.

My guess would be more sweating due to the temperatures and/or humidity. At least in Austria, where I live, we have quite high temps since two weeks or so.I’ve ordered a nylon band to give that a go. Just don’t understand why after six years of owning an Apple Watch (or however long they’ve been out for) I’m now getting an issue nine months after owning this latest one. I hope the marks go away as well. They haven’t got any better over the last three days though…
I've seen sweat listed as a potential explanation before but I don't think it was that for me either. I had been wearing metal bands because I like them better, but when I buy a new watch and use the silicone band it comes with......rash.Yep keep it very clean. It’s not hot here in the UK at the moment so I don’t believe it to be that. The mirror image of the affected area on both wrists would, I believe anyway, dictate that too. Odd, most odd…
never had an issue like this.
That’s a possibility of course, but I guess after wearing it for months without any issue and then a sudden rash might also result from some kind of dirt or another substance that might have gotten onto the strap. That‘s why I asked….Not everyone is going to have an allergic reaction to something. It could be a form of dermatitis.
