The first one I did by my-self while hanging out at my friends apartment, the second one we painted together on Friday night/Sat morning we were up till 6AM :) He's a much better artist then I am, but of course thats all subjective :)

1. It looks a little different in person, my camera was having a hard time getting it right :) It's darker in person

2. I love this one, especially since it was a joint effort. Ignore the reflections on the wall from my mirrors :)

The use of color is nothing short of fabulous. How do you see this being applied to say, film and advertising? I love it. Have you seen Gaspar Noe's "Enter the Void"?

Your second one is gorgeous.

Thanks Lee!

Can't say I was thinking about film and advertising :)

I have not seen "Enter the Void" looks interesting just added it to my Netflix Queue, If I know my friend I painted with he will love it, we'll have to watch together.

I agree on the second one, I love it!

Nice work Todd. You expressed yourself, you had fun, and you ended up with something you'll be proud to hang on the wall or sell. Better value than playing Angry Birds I say!

Keep painting and creating! :)

Not my cup of tea, but I applaud the creative effort for sure.

Of the two, I also can appreciate the second one more. It does have some nice color and some distinct forms rather than just randomness.

the 2nd one is pretty cool. Not so much a fan of the first one but then again that type of design and art is not my cup of tea.

I thought the first pic was a cake. Nonetheless, they're really beautiful. I can't draw, never mind paint.

I want #2 on my wall!

That could be arranged, if the price is right ;)

Kidding of course, It means much more to me then money, not to mention my friend would kill me :)

Looks good: keep producing work.

After going to art school, I realized that the key to good work is building up experience and keeping yourself motivated, always pumping out new works. If you're a creative person, you have to really dive in and not slow down.

I'm not saying rush work, but producing a range is always good. More importantly, always make sure you're having fun!

I will be honest with you, I don't think it's very good.

I'm not a fan of Pollack or Basquiat, either.

Well who cares what you think ;)

Just kidding your entitled to your opinion :) Criticism is good, and art is subjective anyway some people might like something and some people hate it. I don't claim to be an artist, these are literally the first two things I have ever painted :)

Nice abstract work and I applaud your great attitude about criticism. If you enjoy art then keep it up. It's a great outlet whether it is a hobby or becomes something more.
