the IT guys were thinking of switching to macs here the last couple months but when they heard about the intel switch and read that os X is faster on intel they've totally changed their mind, especially since apple still claims on their site that the G5 is better. oh well, we've never had any problems with the XP/Redhat boxes in the office so it's probably for the better from a business perspective. i mean they still think the ipod is kinda cool.
oh and I've had photographs in the NY Times, it's really pretty easy you just show your work in the right places and they'll find you. they pay pretty nicely too.

I've called in sick TWICE, once for exteme food poisening, and once because my Dad was hospitalized with a very serious head injury. Twice in 19 months of working here. I've since been promoted 4 times, while others that I started with are still at the bottom.
Good work ethic and a little bit of smarts goes a long, long way.

And remember, in the corporate world, hard work is really baseless these days. You could be fired tomorrow, and you'll be an unemployed 19/23 year old with a useless college degree. Pretty special now, right?

Generally, if you're looking to impress people with your status, and that seems to be the impetus of this thread, you're not very smart. I'd much rather acquire traits that cannot be taken away. I'd like to build up good character over gross cockiness.
For example, My X $ a year job can be taken away. My X $ house can be taken away. My lovely car can be taken away. But the community work I do cannot. The character traits I try to nurture cannot. The way I treat people cannot.
I applaud you on being a hard working college student, but the minute you define your life by your career... well, that's when it's probably gonna go in the *******, and from someone who's self employed, believe me, I know.
Career and business will, and mark my words WILL SURELY humble you. Might be when you have 3 kids and a pregnant wife, but it'll find a way to humble you. Sure you're on a high now, good disposable incomes, etc., but imagine having that taken away with a wife and family to support. Humbling, eh?
You're riding high now, enjoy it, but keep the karma on your side, and unlike this post, keep the bragging to yourself.
If teh chatter in this thread was taking place at a charity function, a business dinner, trade show, or whatever else, you'd probably have people walking away from you with the way you're talking.

If you said that junk in an interview with me...your resume, spotless as it may be, would be tossed inthe circular bin almost immediately.
