2 charges for $1511.59 just auth'd on my debit card 🙂 2 separate orders for 2 64GB ipads

Not sure if it's just a normal sweep. When I placed my order on the 12th they only did a $1.00
 
mine also was charged today to a credit card. I pre ordered the first day. Actually my credit card company help up the charge till the called me just now with apple on the line and he finished it.
 
That seems reasonable. A week+ out. To initiate the actual shipping order they have to charge the card.

I just checked my bank... account shows available balance is about $760 light (64gb wifi only), but doesn't list the pending transaction... The iPad is the only thing it could be though. Looks like the iPad is about to jump off...

Total was like 790 for the ipad and dock, doesn't look like the dock has been charged...

EDIT: found it - Hold Balance $768.04 (I checked this morning first thing and it wasn't there, so looks like they're ramping up - I ordered at 5:34am (4 minutes after pre-orders opened)
 
UGh, you are the second one.

I was supposed to get a check for my daughters today from her Dad.... figures he hasn't produced it yet. Guess i should go check my balance to make sure i'm covered.

ETA: I got hit for the iPad only, not the accessories.

Gee - think they might show up early?
 
Although my credit card doesn't show any new charges my available credit is now $690 lighter (32 Wifi + case).

This is the first time I'm glad to see my available credit go down 🙂

You got my correct shipping address on one of those yes? 😛

Good to hear things like this, at least we won't get a last minute update next weeks stating the iPads will be delays for xxx days.
 
My card is light $1198. The exact amount for 2 32GB wifi models.

Notably I ordered 2 pads and the accessories on the first day and my order shows the iPads delivered on April 3rd while the accessories ship BY the 3rd.

So it looks like Apple charged my card just for the iPads.
 
Same story here. Ordered six minutes into the preorder day 1. Available credit reduced, though there is no posting saying it is Apple, but the amount does reflect a 32GB iPad WiFi. 🙂
 
My card was hit today by apple. I was able to verify that it was a hold hit by apple. I looked into the card management system ands its apple. I work at the bank 🙂
 
The pre-auth on my debit card has dropped off now. I guess they are going to get ready to charge it soon?

Looks like it's a hold - available credit reduced, but nothing posted from Apple. From what I can figure, it's only for the iPad, recycle fee ($8), and tax. The case & dock weren't included. Order placed at 0537, 3/12.
 
I ordered an iPad 3G 64GB at 5:32am on the day the preorder went up. Apple just charged my CC for $905.39. I'm guessing that's the $829 iPad plus tax.

I just checked my order details on Apple. It still says "Late April" for my iPad and USB Power Adapter, and "By April 3RD" for my iPAD Case and iPAD Dock.

Maybe Apple is charging everyone's credits cards now? Since I was charged for a 3G iPad, I seriously doubt this means Apple will be shipping the iPads early.

Has anyone else been charged for their 3G iPad yet?
 
Yep same here was charged for the 16GB, transaction went through earlier this afternoon. Like many I ordered accessories but those charges are not pending as of yet.
 
My AmEx card's credit limit is reduced by the 64GB WiFi amount. It doesn't show up under any transactions. I do not know when this happened, though. Is this just a hold or a charge in process? I ordered within the first hour it was available for pre-order.

Not like Apple

my card was charged today as well, but this is not like apple. i use to work for apple and have ordered many products and the never charge people card this early. 😕

i ordered my at 5:32 am launch day was only charged for ipad.

Yes, I just got charged for my 2 32gb 3G iPads. Hmmm, that's really odd. Mine is also for the iPads only and not the accessories.
