How many people are currently using a 1st gen iPhone? You could still technically use one, but who is going to?
Tech has about a 5-10 year shelf life. Current Apple Watches will have no value by 2025, even if you replace the battery. For one, the watch won't receive further updates and be listed as EOL. And two, technology will be better/faster by then making current watches look archaic. Just the way tech is.
Every Apple watch is the same though. Just slightly different colors (save for the real gold version). My point is and was, why buy 6 identical time pieces that will be paperweights in 5 years time? Makes zero sense.
Usually people buy new Phone every 2 years , but for the watches ain't same thing.
I can use up to 5 watches per iPhone and it's auto switch, if someone buy new Apple Watch every year it'd be 5 year to get max limit.
So I think Apple would service the Apple Watch at least 8-10 years. You can count on it.
Thank for worry about my collection. if it obsolete or can't use anymore I can accept that.
