anyone know anything about how popular the plus is in Asia or EU? I would assume much more than the US

In Singapore at least, I don’t think I have seen any plus models out in public. Plenty of pro / pro max models (the triple camera array and / or pill cutout is a dead giveaway.

I am pretty sure Apple has sold at least a few here. I just haven’t seen any out in the wild.

We Asians would prefer getting the top end model no matter what because of prestige . In Indonesia, where iPhone prices are way marked up, I now am seeing more and more 14 Pro/Pro Max in the wild (the dynamic island gave it away). Crazy! I mean the base 14 Plus is already priced at $1000+ over here, so for most people who can afford iPhones, why not just get the Pro/ProMax since you are already spending that much money anyway.

Well Apple has a solution for you! They'll just raise the price of the Pro Max by $100-$200 and now its more than a $200 difference! See? Makes the 15 Plus a whole better deal now!
I've got twelve private islands to sell you if you think the price difference between the two won't remain $200. :p

Update; got the Apple silicone case and now the Plus feels chunky 😂

I’ve always had Nudient (thin) cases, so this is quite different.

Without a case the Plus is (still) a beauty.

I met up with a friend last night who has the Pro Max. He was amazed at how much lighter the Plus felt.

Now I need to decide whether to keep it out of a case or not.

I’ve had to buy the iPhone 14 Plus after damaging my 12. Wanted one anyway.

This is my first Plus/larger size.

I don’t think there’s any going back now. I’ve gone back to my 12 a couple of times and the display feels tiny.

You know that leap we had when we had a home button to the first non-button iPhone? Playing with a home button iPhone suddenly felt cheap and small.

It feels like that going to a Plus.

This 14 Plus is so slim, barely heavier than my 12 and certainly fine to carry around in my pocket.

That’s all. Just wanted to say this in case anyone was thinking about upsizing.

Same here.

Went iPhone Pro Max, never went back to smaller models.

Went MBP 16", never went back to 13".

Went 8TB SDD, never went back to smaller disk space.

Went 5k Apple Studio Display, never went back, and will go 6/8k as soon as Apple releases their next gen screen.

You simply can't go back from these things, unless you want to make your life miserable again :)

Thank you :apple: I don't even know how 99.99% of people in this world don't own this combo of products and make their daily lives a very unpleasant experience (tech wise).

Because it’s heavy 😂 the pro is too small but hey- each to their own!

If you plan to trade in your phone eventually, protect it with a case.

If you plan to just hold on to it till it dies, then use it naked.

Even for some of us who can afford the very top iPhones, there is a threshold of how much we want to spend on principle. My thinking is usually, ‘why should I give more money to Apple when I am already spending a hell of a lot’? How about Apple give me something back for a change after a decade plus of buying their iPhones. These things are just getting more and more expensive and personally I think it’s taking the mick.
