Why do they have to be eliminated for everybody because you don't want them?

Make it a freaking option. Is that too difficult for the largest corporation on the planet?

Same with the mini. Apple could have easily made it a little bit taller for two hard and an optical drive, or up to three hard drives if people didn't want the optical drive. Instead Apple forces you to external devices.

I remember when function, "It Just Works" was the main thing about Apple.

It has nothing to do with getting used to the monitor. I don't want it. Period.

That's what I had said. The monitor was an issue that I had forgotten about.

Yes, that and the Mac being a "complete" system from day one. Now, a user that may be content with not having an optical may just need one on any given day and then have to drop another $100.

They could have at the very least just stayed with the original design.
