Well, you said NYC, you didn't specify the boroughs -- what, Manhattan isn't part of NYC now? :D

Lol true...I tend to blank out on including Manhattan because I feel so little time is spent going from point A to point B within the borough and it's usually too crowded to sit.

I agree with this. If I were still in NYC or DC or any other place where I would use public transportation, the Mini would definitely be my choice.

I commute by car so I'm getting the full sized. I miss public transportation though. I got so much reading done and solved sudoku puzzles on my iPhone (these were the days before the Mini). Now I waste my time driving and staring at the road.

Audiobooks! :)

You must spend all of your time midtown or below. Try going from, say 125th to 42nd, and that's quite a long ride with with plenty of time to read. If you can find a seat, that is!

I never understood how people can ride a NYC train and take out their ipad or laptop. I live in NYC and would NEVER take those out. I barely take my phone out. It's just asking to have them stolen.

Here in London on the underground I see people all the time using their iPads, Kindles, phones and laptops. I do too on many an occasion. I guess London must much safer then those cities.

Yeah pretty much. I grew up in Brooklyn and the most I take it to is up by 86th and Lexington.

I thought this was a very interesting read. I have only owned full sized iPads but this time around I think I'm leaning towards the Retina Mini. I have an iMac and a Macbook so I don't feel the need to have a full sized iPad anymore. I'm just wondering if I'll have the opposite reaction of yours, and have buyers remorse for not getting the bigger screen....

I picked up a 32GB LTE Verizon model and went home. Now let me add this in there, I also have a 64GB WiFi 4th Gen.

I think I see the root cause of your remorse.

You had two different form factors, you sell one and duplicate another form factor. I can see why you would run into "problems" if you are used to two form factors.
