My iPhone 4 Arrived! 2 days early!

What happens to your old iPhone with its regular-sized sim after you activate the iPhone 4 for those who have received the new phone? Is the sim dead?

Yes. I've done this a few times in the past (switching SIM), and it always just kills off the old SIM.
