My iPhone 4S has shipped!!

A friend bought his and his wife's through AT&T at the same time and both their phones have shipped, but her SIM is on backordered. His mother ordered around 10 am on the 7th and their iPhones are on backordered.

UPS told me Apple won't allow them to release them until Friday.

How many time does we have to go through this on the forum? It did not go direct non-stop to Louisville. It is going from Hong Kong to Anchorage to Louisville. "In Transit" means final destination by plane not direct non-stop.

update: i kept putting my phone number in the tracking number area not the reference for the past day. stupid me. but i now i have tracking woohoo. but still showing preparing for shipment on apple.

I saw this as well. I highly doubt that they can promise to deliver literally 1 million iPhones before noon on Friday. I'm really hoping it's early because I'm heading out of town for the weekend around 3pm. My fiance and I are considering seeing if we can pick the phones up at the local UPS distribution warehouse but I'm not sure how that will go.

I'm in the same situation. I live in Orlando and would love to know if you manage to find out if we can pick it up at the distribution warehouse. I am leaving for South Florida around noon on Friday and I know there is little chance it arrives before then.

If this is true, I would be ecstatic because I have to leave town around noon on Friday...Oh man, I thought for sure I would have to wait for redelivery on Monday, but this would make my weekend. If it arrives I will make my fiance drive to South Florida while I setup and play with Siri all the way.

I hope that this is true and that it comes on the earlier side since I leave for work at 11:40 >_<
