. I've read this bad boy thread from the day it started and it's been a fun ride.
I ordered two 16gb black ip4s' from AT&T's online ordering system at 10am (EST) the morning of the 7th. I got AT&T's order confirmation email immediately, and another "processing" email the next day. Everything so far with AT&T's order process has been similar to what every other AT&T user has described (except I never got a "backordered" message). Up until yesterday the 12th, my status was "pending shipment," but around 3:00pm I got a FedEx tracking number email from AT&T....I have to say that I was sweating it a little after having lurked in this thread for so long!!!
Nonetheless, I got the tracking number and it came online this morning. The place of origin on the package was Ft. Worth TX, so everybody that guessed AT&T pre-orders would be coming from TX was right!!! I'm scheduled for deliver "no later than 3pm" tomorrow (the 14th).
Only really one screwy thing that I noticed with the process. Once I got my tracking email from AT&T my order status on AT&T's website showed that both the phones shipped on the 8th...that's if I logged onto the site as normal. If I logged onto the site through the "order status" option, it said the phones shipped on the 9th...then, FedEx's tracking said one more different date at 10/13. Nothing to troubling...but before the FedEx info came online I was hoping against hope that the phones shipped on 10/8 or 10/9 and would get here early!!! No dice!!! LOL!!! Either way, if I hadn't been feinding for the 4s the whole time this would have been a flawless order from ATt&T. I did have a couple issues with keeping the grandfathered unlimited data plan, but in the end I was able to order the "unlimited data for iPhone 4s" online with my pre-order so everything has gone stellar at this point.
So far I'm on track with delivery tomorrow here in Ohio "no later than 3." The phones departed Indianapollis at 7:01pm (EST) this evening. I can't even freaking stand it!!!!!!!! LOL!!!
