Just send it to apple. I sent my phone with an aftermarket battery to them for repair and they would not fix it. They sent it back and refunded my money less $12 for shipping. No big deal.

Send it to them and see what they can/will do.

Call Apple!

OP,

I am also from Venezuela and I understand your problems. We don't have any system that works over here and we are very hesitant to trying and trusting warranties. It sucks.

That said, in my time in the US, I have learned that Apple is top of the line when it comes to doing right for their customer. Call them and find out what they can do.

The only thing that worries me is that the phone is from T-mobile locked and you bought it from a third party (Venezuela for ripoff) they probably bought the phone from T-mobile under contract and didn't pay therefore the phone is blacklisted in the US. Every phone sold in Venezuela is almost always in this bucket unless you buy straight from the carriers.

However the worse thing that can happen is they will take the serial number over the phone and tell you they can't do anything because the phone has been reported "stolen".

No hay tiempo que perder. LLAMA A APPLE.

I didn't call Apple. I chatted with them on their web-page previously putting my serial phone number. They told me they couldn't help me in Venezuela not because I was there but because the problem is that the phone is currently locked to an U.S. carrier (means I need to travel to the states).

So... Yesterday I went to the store where I bought the iPhone and she said I have to send it to the store that she bought the phone from (crazy) with a copy of my buy-proof (factura). I just came back from DHL and sent the phone to Lakewood, OH. The girl told me that they are most likely to receive the phone and they are the ones who will send the phone to the closer Apple Store AND THEN, if they repair/replace the phone, they will send the phone back to my house in a 1 moth time-lapse.

Another thing... My iPhone is locked to T-Mobile and I have a hardware-unlock so the phone is jailbroken. Does that matter? I could send them the phone without the sim card and they wouldn't notice I guess. At the end of the day, the phone won't turn on and I hadn't changed anything visually.

- When I click on Extend your coverage with Apple Care it says "We're sorry, but an AppleCare agreement for this product is currently unavailable for purchase in your country."

Well, since its jailbroken that may make it difficult for you to get another iPhone. Typically Apple denies warranty for jailbroken devices.
