I, like many of you that read all the horror threads last night, was so nervous about getting my phones today. And I was beyond thrilled when I tested both phones and found no signal issues, yellow lines or dots, or proximity issues. While I am sympathetic to those of you that weren't so lucky, I am on cloud 9.

And I am glad the OP started another thread praising the iPhone. People are often quick to ramble on about shortcomings rather than praise. I know that a lot of people are having issues, but a lot of us got perfect units. Hell I was at my Apple store and asked if they were having a couple of complaints or troubles with people and their units. The guy looked at me like I was from outer space. He said that the majority of people have been very pleased.

Mine's perfect too. None of the reported issues, or any others. I've had all 3 prior iPhones, and all had problems out of the box. Nice change to have gotten a perfect one.

I hope you peeps with problem phones get it sorted out asap. I've been there; I feel your pain.

Mine seems OK too. No bar or signal degradation, or screen yellowing (that I can tell at least)!

So far so good!

Several of my coworkers received iPhone 4's today. None of them had any yellow spots on their screens, no reception issues when holding the left corner, and no problems whatsoever so far. Most of them upgraded from a 3G phone so they said everything feels 10x faster and slicker. We also work in a brick building so we usually only get 2-3 bars, but now they are all getting 3-4 bars.

But mainly, we're all drooling over the Retina display.

Absolutely no issues with mine. 5 bars irregardless of where I have my hand(without the bumper), no dropped calls, screen looks great ! Hopefully my wife will be as lucky when the white ones come out.

Problems are clearly not affecting all units. Mine is perfect -- no reception problems whatsoever, no yellow blobs, nada, zilch zip problems. It's flawless and I love it!

As for those who are insisting the problem is universal -- how can you insist that when clearly some of us are lucky enough not to have the problem? And reviewers didn't have the problem either?

Mine too! I was so indecisive when browsing the forums and was scared to make the purchase. but I just said f**k it! And I love the speed and clarity, such an improvement over my 3G. And I don't have the problem with the reception loss of the yellowing..It's flawless. :)

I just got my own. Used a flashlight app to check the screen. Perfect white. Not even any light leak or any of the old problems.

Smothered the phone in my (shaky) hands, groped the left seam repeatedly, and could not kill the signal. Didn't drop a single bar.

My hands are shaking from having to cut my old O2 sim. That worked perfectly too.

Good to see a positive thread. These forums have been getting depressing.

I don't doubt that certain positions will degrade the signal on the iPhone 4...because the same effect has been occurring on cellular phones since the beginning.

I think attention was drawn to signal because of the hoopla about the new design...then it just exploded.

Today, I was able to drop my 3GS from 3-4 bars to no signal using the same "Death Grip" that you see in all the iPhone 4 video's.
