My iphone is dead, and i cant turn it on because the top button doesnt work

I was updating my iphone 3g last night when it suddenly turned off, i tried connecting it again but it was just dead then i tried connecting it to the wall charger and it didnt work too, i cant enter in dfu mode or anything like it because the top button doesnt work can anyone offer me any advice? i really need to turn it on because i have a new pc and it doesnt have any backup from my iphone thanks.

Is the phone under warranty? If so, go to Apple, otherwise ifixit.com
