The kid ended up getting his iPod back, and hopefully he won't do it again. If he makes another thread, the users might just flame him. This thread is getting old.

My teacher took my touch away today and is wasn't even my fault well yea it was but still. I gave my ipod to this kid in the beginning of class bc he wanted to play chopper then he got caught by the teacher and he took it away. They do this thing called bag it and tag it where they put the electronics in a bag and send it to the office where they lock it in a vaught then one of my parent has to come pick it up. The bad thing is that this is my 3rd time getting it taken away and second time in two weeks bc i got it taken away last week during a test . O and today my teacher wasn't going to bag it until he saw the crack on my screen and he was like look what this clown does. I just told my mom and she is not really happy and she said she is not going to get it so im screwed. I was like i have to drive a hour away tonight and the music is the only thing that keeps me awake. I also saw it on the desk and was thinking about grabbing it but i just couldn't . Now i don't know what to do bc that ipod is like my sidekick . So boys and girl don't use electronics in school i learned it the hard way 3 times.

I think the policy of having a parent get the device back is genius. Yes, there will always be ****** parents that don't care, but I think most would use this as a disciplinary tool 🙂

I don't listen to it when i drive i use a thing called itrip when i drive. Also i never listen to it during school i usely just play games or use the calculator for math.

Listening to music can help you concentrate when you're working... Games though are a pure distraction. I've always been shocked at how similar the calculator app looks like a real calculator, enough to fool invigilators at exams.

Yea im not the sharpest in spelling and grammar . O and were reading a book in English called Beowulf and were like 2 in a half weeks in it and i had a quiz . I didn't know anything so i got a E lol . All i new was that there was a guy named beowulf in the book.

I always pay attenion in the main classes(english, oceanology ) Bc those r the ones i need to pass. But other then them 2 i have all easy classes(tech ed,cooking , gym times 2) This is my senior year baby!!!! which sucks.

It sounds like you've been doing a lot of paying attention in English... right? You only need to pass two courses? Doesn't your high school need a certain amount of credits to graduate? Are you considering post-secondary school after you graduate?

Amazing! The sad part of this is that many of you think this is normal and acceptable. It's disappointing to think that this is an example of the upcoming generation. Oh well, the world needs sales clerks and hamburger flippers too; I'm sure you can handle those tasks. Good luck.

lol, oh man... has this thread gone off topic or what? This could be a record for most directions away from the topic of the thread.

But, alas, I feel the need to respond. The motivated and hard working people you speak of make under $250,000 a year... most people who make more than that are very far from hard working. The people who make the least money work the hardest jobs, that's the way this world works.

And if a motivated and hard working person hits success and starts making $250,000 plus a year... then they've hit a point where they don't HAVE to work so hard or be so motivated... they made it! No one needs more money then that, they should be glad they got there and give back to the people who are actually struggling.

How many times must you get your stuff taken away from you during class, before you realize that maybe you shouldn't use them in class?
