If only my local apple store was like that...

I bought a black 2.4 GHz MacBook in September of last year.

September 2008
Microphone faulty and speakers making static sounds.

November 2008
SuperDrive works intermittently and fails to read Double Layer DVDs.

January 2009
SuperDrive dead. Neither reads or writes.

February 2009
Mouse button stuck down after many months of careful use.

I'm sick of taking it in for repairs every 3 weeks. I never switched. I've been a loyal Mac user for 15 years and this is the first one I've had that has given me a headache. Sometimes I wish I had waited a month for the aluminum unibody ones to come out because maybe they're more reliable. I've taken this thing into the Apple store where I bought it every 3 weeks since I bought it and they all could care less. I wish they would just replace it and then they would probably never hear from me again.

It blows my mind that someone who works at a small box boutique electronics store doesn't know about their product,

The stores are becoming more consumer oriented hiring more of the "Dude it's a Dell" types. I asked about MP Ram and was quoed $500 per 2MB.

The irony is that the MP has the highest profit margin of anything they sell.
