Or if you had metal plates in your leg from a broken bone, or a pacemaker.... Glad I gave that some thought, and twice as glad I don't need to worry about either of them.

Magnetic/electric fields always have a potential to cause disturbances. Some people are more sensitive than others. Personally, I wouldn't mind the good old "mechanic" latch.
