China is in no way, form or shape a communist country now at all. Yes the government's paperwork still carries the word 'communist' on it, but that's just as meaningless and outdated as many of the words on the USA's declaration of principles.

It may have been slightly more communist in the past, but many people would plausibly argue that China has never really been a communist state at any time in its history.

You cannot make an argument that China has never really been communist. Oy. Even now they jail dissidents, filter the internet, execute people for passing out literature, enforce the "one child policy" in some heinous ways, and have ONLY state run media. And that is just the fun stuff.

The only thing close to being free about China is the economy, which oddly enough will be twice as free as the USA by Spring. That is why they will keep booming and America will keep sliding. But that is another story.

Ok some of you see the humor, others do not.

1. I was in a good mood when I made the post, thought I would share a laugh.
2. I did not say anything good or bad about communism.
3. I did not skip geography class, once again it was a joke b/c my MB sat on a plane in china for 2 days when it was suppose to leave before that.
4. It was in Alaska at time of post but had been on the plane in China for 2 days prior.

I was not trying to twist anyones g-strings here, I was just in a good mood since this great democracy of ours actually gave a nice sum of money back to me and I finally got what I have been wanting.

Not really b/c once the fedex plane left china my mb went to Anchorage->Memphis->Shreveport->Alexandria, La in 13 hours.... just sayin.

But what he was trying to say was getting it from a factory in China, and into Shanghai/ or some other major city, onto a FedEx plane, and then to Alaska, then all the way to your house in roughly 16 hours is somewhat difficult.
Considering that when you placed the order, it was probably 2 in the morning in China.;)
