My MBP and external hard drive.

How come I can copy movies that I have stored on my external hard drive to my Mac, but I cant transfer from my Mac to the external?

If it's formatted NTFS, then it is read-only under OS-X (without 3rd party software).

Yes - FAT32 is read/write. There is a 4GB file size limit, however.

Yea, but then files can't e bigger than 4 GB.
