His story is falling apart... If he doesn't get some pictures up then it's pretty obvious someone's just looking for attention

How sad

I've just tried to photograph, without an SLR I doubt I'll be able to focus on it, I tried with my iPhone and its virtually invisible to the lens and comes out very pale and faded while its actually quite a day black spot, granted very small.

Its a common problem and see no reason why anyone would starry pointing fingers and calling 'liar'. Im super happy with my iPad and its an excellent product, I've had all three generations, I was just disappointed that its has a defection (this specific one) and wanted some idea as to how to remedy it.

When did I ever say I didn't buy it from Apple, I bought it online from Apple, I asked if I could take it to a store, they said I couldn't.

Please don't come on this forum just to bully.

Yes, you can. At least in the US you can.

Make a genius bar appointment, show them the iPad, get it replaced.
Now, it's entirely possible that they have no replacement units on Day #1. But within a few days to perhaps a week they should get some service replacement units in stock.

I had my iPad 2 replaced for a screen defect (really bad image ghosting) at a time when iPad 2's were still limited in stock availability. Yet they had service replacement units on hand. Genius guy never asked if I bought online or in-store.

Well, mine and my friend's ones came with a dot under a screen as well. Seems like we see production hurrying resuts.

Why do we need pictures? DOn't you believe him? Sure, could be fake but with MILLIONS if ipads being delivered in the next few days, some ARE going to have such defects. It's all a natural part of manufacturing. Despite all measures to prevent it, some such defects ARE going to get through the entire manufacturing process.

Apple store UK will replace faulty ipads bought from .com just not swap them if you change your mind.

I had I feeling they would replace it at the Apple Store as I have had it in the past, I was told otherwise by the gentleman on the phone, but I guess thats what he was told to say, maybe? To stop too many people flooding to retail stores when they perhaps only have the stocks to accommodate those who bought at the retail stores.

Who knows. Anyway, I'll give it a shot in a weeks time.
