My "new" iPhone asking me to sign in to someone else's Apple ID.

I think this proves that Apple is already introducing the refurbs, but as new?

You got to understand how many brand new phone were returned because only the case has a tiny scratch.

I can't blame them.

Thread starters signiture is :

6th rMBP returned. 3rd iPhone 5 returned. Gone back to the trusty 4S. Tim Cook sucks.

Now this problem with Apple ID ... Wow you just have the worst luck in the history of the world ... I'm sure your not overly picky or doing anything wrong.

its downloading the music from itunes match, because you downloaded it from a torrent that someone else downloaded from itunes, their itunes id is somewhere inside the music. heres what you need to do, desync all your music turn on itunes match and it will start asking for passwords to the random email addresses just keep hitting cancel cancel and it will show you the songs that are trying to download but arent because you dont have the right password. This is what happend to me at least. lucky for me it was only 1 album and I just deleted it and got a different one. It wont stop until you remove that music.

you can also find the songs and right click click get info and it will tell you the account it is registered to.

Its not a used iphone by any means, restoring from your backup would have no evidence of a previous owner.

I'm having this problem right now too.

Gave my old iPhone to my Dad. Never jailbroken. Set him up completely afresh.

It's coming up with someone else's Apple ID. Bit scary.

My 4S and iPod touch did that. Never figured out why.

It's because of cracked apps from Installous that got synced into your backup.
