I ordered an ipod shuffle from amazon and they sent me blue jeans and a black shirt
I know some will never believe...
It is nice to be typing on a brand new machine...a nice SILVER new machine!
As for the pic...it was taken with a camera phone and I had to fold the receipt so as not to show all of my personal info. I thought it actually turned out well.
well the thing is this..
you're receipt just shows that you ordered an MB
i think what people want to see, including myself for this to be credible..
is a receipt for a black MB.. and then a picture of the Newly opened MBP with the box side by side..
anyway, if what you're saying is true, just getting the MBP instead of the MB is enough reason to be happy about.. you don't need validation from the people here![]()
I have no clue about the screen, I have never seen a matte screen...is there a way to tell?
Apple only ships matte on the MBP
No, you can get matte or glossy. However if the box doesn't say one way or the other then it's matte, that is the default.

I believe it!
I had purchased a Weber grill from Amazon. It was one of their 6 burner stainless steel grills. The largest one they made but with none of the options. i.e. no side burner, no smoke box, no rotisserie etc. etc.
When the grill showed up, shipped by a commercial carrier ( tractor trailer ) it was the wrong one. It was their top of the line Weber grill. It had everything that the one I ordered did not. The cost was about $800 more than the one that I bought. The problem was the one that they sent was a built in model. So when they asked if I wanted to keep it, I refused. They sent the tractor trailer back to pick it up and sent a third tractor trailer to deliver the correct one.
All of this with their free shipping option.
Now if they had just been paying attention...

Yes, it was a boring story, but let's be fair - OP is one lucky SOB.This is quite a story ... quite a boring story.

Thats awesome! I 100% believe it. What people and naysayers don't realize is that customer satisfaction is usually a higher priority then pissing a customer off with poor shipping. First off, computers make pretty much NO money (argue me this if you like, your wrong), they have very little markup (hence why extra warranties, accessories, etc) are always sold with them. So if amazon shipped you something wrong, to keep you happy they would have given you the upgrade then hope you would come "shop for accessories" which will make them money, things like cables, mice, etc. Not to mention they know now your a customer for life
There are many instances where that $35 usb cable makes more profit then a $2k laptop.
BTW Logitech did something similar with me, I ordered a nice expensive diNovo keyboard and the 4 key stuck enough to bug me, well they shipped me a whole new keyboard, and told me to just keep the old one or scratch out the serial number and throw it out.
This "I ordered such-and-such and I got such-and-such instead!" mockery is getting old... if that's all you're going to contribute, don't...
To the OP, congrats! I'm loving my MBP and I'm sure you'll be doing the same. Though I'm sure I'd be enjoying it more if I'd ordered a BlackBook instead... Wonder how much longer that guy that packed yours will be keeping his job![]()
