I'm praying that mine will have TI also. This is very important since plan to get an RME Fireface 800 to replace my MOTU PCI setup.

I read somewhere else that someone got a new 2.5ghz MBP and it had the Texas Instruments in there. So I think you should be fine with yours.

I am finally upgrading too!

I am upgrading from an Sony laptop running XP and with a AMD 900 MHz Duron Processor. It has a whopping 256 MB or RAM. I upgraded that as it used to be 128 MB.

I bought it in 2001.

My notebook that I am waiting for is the 2.5 Macbook Pro with a 15.4 inch screen.

Oh and my old laptop only had a 20 GB hard drive. New on has 250 GB.

I think the new one will be a little bit faster.

:D

I think it was about time for an upgrade!

You bring me inspiration and encouragement, my friend. I think my Vaio PCG-K17 (purchased spring 2004) and I can hold out one more update. It's actually a well built machine, and I've just maxed out the RAM to a whopping 1GB. The thing just weighs about 8 lbs without the enormous power brick.
