Hi,

I know this is not the right forum but, i've always found better solutions over here. The problem statement is;

Some dumb jack has added my cell phone number to his "Call Forward" and now he seems to have gone offline (switched off) without my permission of course. :mad:

i am getting tons of unwanted calls and i tried number blocking but the different phone numbers are just too many.

I called up service provider and they can't seem to do anything till the option is de-selected from the handset.

Just wanted to check if I had any options really ...

thanks,

That's total crap. That option is totally on their end (it's conveniently accessible through the settings but it's a carrier option). They should be easily able to turn it off. Try calling again and see if you can get someone who knows what they're talking about.

Tried all of it, DND, not to answer and all; The guy seems to be in some kinda taxi car business and he gets a ton of calls.

got hold of his cousin in one of the calls, blasted him and warned him that will abuse your clients if this doesn't stop.

The trouble for me is that the service provider is unable to do anything at all.
Is that true else where in other places like European countries, or usa ??

I'm in India...

Use the iPhone's built-in Do not Disturb Mode!!! or start blocking each number in your iPhone.

Could be worse ... All of a sudden I started getting, um, illicit phone calls and texts in the middle of the night. I had DND on, but when I woke up, I'd received about 40-50 of them overnight! Some very popular and friendly girl had placed an online ad and posted my number by mistake! This continued for a couple of days until I was able to find her correct number and text her to fix the problem. All told, I got about 150 calls and texts! Who'd have thought there was that much demand for services?

Bro ... which state and provider ? Post/Pre paid ? Have you raised an official complaint ? Better you deliver a hand written complaint to the Head office ...

Since your paying for a service, the provider has some obligations to fulfill ... You need to approach the main branches not the small local ones to get this resolved.
