It keeps telling me to make a reservation. :| No thanks. The closest apple store is an hour away.

I decided to try the local ATT store for pre-order since online ATT and online Apple was failing.

The rep at the ATT store got me all set in a matter of minutes. Fedx delivery to my home on the 24th.

Apple.com keeps telling me to make a reservation as well WTF is going on now should we keep going or should just make a reservation?

Alright people who finished their order, maybe you guys can help me (I'm trying to avoid posting a new thread because that's just annoying).

I have been trying literally for the past nine hours to get my pre-order in, and something strange just happened.

I've made it to this page several times today:

And it has given me an error every single time I select Aventura. But this time, upon clicking "Pick Up in Store," it took me directly to this page:

That can't be right can it?!

I don't have a confirmation number or an e-mail confirmation. They didn't ask me for any information outside of my wireless number, zip, and social.

There is no option to proceed from this page or anything.

Do I have a reservation or not?!

EDIT: And the page is formatted very strangly...

been trying all morning, before it would sit on the checking att page for awhile. now it loads that for about 10 seconds then goes straight to the in store reservation. frustrating.

I've been getting to that screen as well recently. New bs added to the cluster **** of confusion. I don't want to pick up in store grrrrrrr

I got the completed order page from checkout put did not get the conformation email? Is that normal? I went to log back into att.com and the site is down due to upgrades. Has anyones orders been falling out?

If you're still having problems, I recommend going directly to either the ATT or Apple store to pre-order. The whole process takes literally 30 minutes.

I ordered mine at 2:30am PST (FROM AT&T)...1-1/2 hours into the pre-sales period. I have never received an email conforming my order.

But my account has been charged for the upgrade and it is showing "processing" on the website.

SO AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION IS NOT NECESSARY!

Everything is down. Online, store, att site, they all use the same system.

I have problems all day attempting through ATT.com and Apple.com. In fact, my Premier page wasn't even listing the iPhone 4 to add to my cart. A quick trip to the physical ATT store yielded a purchase in about 30 minutes. I received the confirmation email about 15 minutes ago.

I don't know if this will help you, but I went in person to an Apple store at lunch today. They used my iPhone to access the apple store app to make the reservation for in store pick up. I wanted it delivered, but we both knew that probably wasn't going to work. There were no lines, so no one was really accessing the site to do real pre orders.

He was able to get further in the apple store app menu than I was, but even still he hit a snag near the end (error message). But when he checked his in store computer, it showed my name with a reservation to pick up.

I did get an email confirmation a few seconds later. The process didn't have me enter any data beyond last 4 numbers of ss, zip code, and cell number.

I would like to keep trying to see if I can get at home delivery, but some posts seem to suggest that may no longer be possible. I really didn't want to buy from att.

now I think something is up. Went in to check the status of it and it said no records were found and my upgrade option is still open on my line. How do you know if this was processed or not. Att sucks.

Finally done. Thanks to a tip on here to try using opera. I downloaded it started using about 5 tabs at once and finally one went through. YAHOOOOOOO!!!:D:D:D I so Happy I could just sh$t!!!

Finally!

At 2:44 pm Pacific time I got past the ATT info page and completed my order.:D

Should be getting it shipped to the house on the 24th. I started this process at 1:48 am Pacific time this morning:mad:

This is getting worst every year.

Anybody seen this gem of an order status?

AT&T says they can no longer answer any questions about the iPhone 4. Period. This must be a standard message for them, anyone know what it means?

you got the completed order screen correct and an order number like me? does it take 24 hours to show up as an open order on the check status screen? Or when does it update?

GRRR! Finally got my order in via Premier Site. Only tried for 8 hours. This should warrant a refund of the $60 activation fee for the two phones.
