as for video chat, AT&T doesn't have this supported on any other video-capable phones, some European networks have it...so i don't konw if they'll do that...

Exactly, here in Spain we have been able to video-call for a long time, and it's a beautiful feature save for the cost, which is a lot higher than a audio-only call. Another obstacle for wider use of video-calling is that you need a mobile phone with power to handle it and a front facing camera, which very little people care to get.
.. but my other mobile phone (Nokia N70) can handle videocalling very well with an ARM9 200Mhz, and 32MB RAM so I think the new iPhone would be more than capable of delivering videocalling and iChat like videoconference (h.264 of course) through WiFi

Why not? they already have phones that can do it, even some of the free 3g phones can do it.

did you even read the description? video share is one-way only.

How many people would actually use this? I find it hard enough to get people to talk on the phone rather than text let alone video call. A lot of phones have video calling but none of the people I know actually use it. Video phones in the home never caught on because people wanted privacy.

Gotta say, i have never ever, ever seen anyone actually have a video call. If you're in public, you'd look a bit of a numpty holding the phone in front of your face and talking into it, and if you haven't got a headset, you have to have the call on speakerphone.

I think it was a cool idea, in theory, but its just never caught on.
