It's not really a defect but more like part of leather.

In saying that, the first one I had looked similar to yours and I didn't like it so I exchanged it in store, unwrapped it there and then and made sure I liked it before I left. The apple store employees don't really care

Thanks for your answers. I may decide to exchange it. I'll wait and see.

Just took a few pics of my saddle brown. Getting darker and I'm still loving it!

Not to hijack the thread, but my black one also has several streaks. I'm sure it's part of the leather finish. Makes it truly unique.

I had some streaks in mine as well when I had it. I used Apple brand leather conditioner and it took them out. I ended up returning the case because I didn't like how slippy it was.

Mine had streaks also. But the more I've used it, and the leather treatment ive applied to it, the streaks are almost non existent.

Is it just me or compared with last years leather case. buttons are so hard to press on the new saddle leather brown

Thanks that makes me feel better about the fact that I have streaks on mine and it's normal. Will probably just keep this.

Quick question, does anyone work out / run with the saddle brown case or do you avoid it because of sweat etc? I do rum with the black leather case but the colours hides a lot on that.

I noticed with the black ones, water is absorbed and creates these small blisters on the side of the case. Only way to remove the is to heat it up with a hair blow dryer.

As many have said yes the buttons are stiff at first but they break in after a week or two. To speed up the process take the case off and push the button part in and out a few times. Loosened mine right up and it's perfect now.

looks VERY good! I like that

P.s is it just me or the silicone cases has very poor quality?!
something feels weird in that material after few weeks .. the case is just SO slippery you can not hold it with one hand it just slides slowly down your hand

thanks. I never had luck nor cared for any silicone cases due to the pocket lint or just getting stuck in my pocket.

The patina is slowly taking shape. And just how i want it to. So i am quite happy
Unfortunately today within a matter of minutes it started to rain like crazy ... and my phone inside the case, which was inside my jeans front pocket, got a bit wet. It is not a problem. But anyway. As soon as i got inside i took out the phone. Made sure it was dry. And then took a picture of the case for this thread

The inside of the case had no sign of any water what so ever by the way. The back however has a sorta fold feeling on the left. It wasnt there before the rain and no idea how that can happen. We will give it some time to smooth out.

Just sharing this to give ppl who wonder about water/rain damage an impression of how it looks. Btw. It is leather. So just place it somewhere to dry and it will basically go away completely. While writing this the water discoloration has almost disappeared

I'm still loving this case. I have an Ice Max 3D full coverage glass screen protector. The case fits perfect, no issues.

Wow this has literally turned to the brown leather case ^^

yeah it is a little dark but lighter than the dark brown case. I have a Ford King Ranch leather coaster which was very similar in color to the saddle brown leather case. Here's how they look together to get the idea of how dark it's gotten. I still love this case.

Do you work with oil all day long? I've had this case since it came out and mine is hardly that worn in yet. The corners and lay on table part is worn, but not nearly like yours.

Lol same. I'm just constantly waiting to get some platina effect on it

lol, nope. nothing has been applied to the case either. just normal use. I've worn jeans maybe 5 times or so since owning the case but they're not raw denim so they would show no use.

just yesterday my wife made the comment that she liked this brown case from the previous light brown case I had. Little did she know it's the same case. haha

@ yanki01
It's looks good
can you please know if this leather Apple case made of a real leather? (animal?)
thank you.
