Since I plan on upgrading my iPhone on a yearly basis, I've decided to limit myself to three cases. I currently have the Black Apple Leather and Speck Candy Shell GRIP....My last case will be the Saddle Brown Apple Leather

Picked up the Saddle Brown case for my 6S Plus and I have to admit my first impressions were not that good as the case doesn't really give the impression of saddle leather. Rather it looks like a pressed block of caramel or some other substance.

The pics on the Apple accessory page (http://www.apple.com/ca/shop/iphone/iphone-accessories) show some grain and texture on the Saddle Brown, but in the hand it's not like that at all. Perhaps it will weather a bit and look better.

Not too sure if I like the saddle brown anymore. Just did a comparison from new to now. Sure does look dirty. See below. After a month of ownership.

Yeah not sure why you wouldn't show the back as we can't really see much of the case from those angles and in that light setting.

I dont know... it's look very good IMO.

I have the silicone feels good but it's attract lint like a magnet.

I think it looks better used than new...that is my opinion of course. Brand new the case looks very bright and orange as opposed to brown. If you were worried about wear, silicone probably would have been your better bet. I think the way leather wears is what makes it unique.

Now over a month of owning it, I still love it. it feels like it's part of the phone now. mine also has darken around the edges, some are darker from where it sits in my palm or where more use is at. still looks nice. Not as light as when I first bought it, obviously.

Returned mine after about two weeks of owning it.i really did love the look of the case, wasn't the best feeling case in my opinion, my buttons broke in but the case still was really plastic to the feel. The main reason I returned it is because I felt like I was baby sitting the case, I don't mind it changing from its OG color but raw denim on these cases look terrible, it's streaks of the blue. It was a nice run.

I've had mine case about two weeks. Not much patina yet.

Same story with me. I returned mine because I didn't like the feel. Definitely too slippy and not like last year's case.

Other people are full of crap when they say their iphones lag, scratch, or otherwise have issues according to you.

You know leather doesn't age bro. It's like inanimate. And like that's just your opinion man.

I spy a lebowski reference.

How dude of you. Well done

Midnight blue looking really good after 3 weeks. Good with jeans.
I just ordered this same case from eBay for my new Sim Free 6S Plus. I have the Silver with the White front and heard that the midnight blue case really makes it look sharp. I'm not a fan of the opening at the bottom, but I would still like to try it. My case should come by the end of this week.

I've always been a fan of these overpriced leather cases. Super expensive but super nice. I had the saddle brown, but out of personal preference I exchanged it for black; only because black is easier for me to look at every day in the long run.

I was able to get the 6S Plus Apple midnight blue leather case from eBay for $39.95.

I received a saddle brown case from the online store today. I noticed it has streaks on it - is hat normal? If it's a natural part of leather I don't mind. Will the streaks fade once the leather wears (and gets the whole patina look)?

Thanks!

some received their case like that also. any pictures? return it if you're not happy with it and get another one.

I only have grainy photos from my IPad. But here it is.

It's just that if it's a normal thing for leather or if it will just fade as it ages no point. But if it's a defect I'd rather get a new one.

I would get a new one. mine is pretty dark now so those streaks may go away.

It's not really a defect but more like part of leather.

In saying that, the first one I had looked similar to yours and I didn't like it so I exchanged it in store, unwrapped it there and then and made sure I liked it before I left. The apple store employees don't really care
