Loving how this has been blown out of proportion, sure 2GB would be nice, but if it does come with 1GB Apple have clearly tested it and it works well with it but, if you're running a lot of apps etc you might notice a slow down, for the regular user it will run fine.

Obviously I was on the high that it had 2GB of RAM.

Be honest, if any other smartphone at the end of 2014 had 1GB of RAM no one would give it a look. Apple is giving is the same RAM for the third year straight.

Not confirmed yet! Wait until the 19th.

Anyone look closely at the picture in the link? It's a 4 inch screen. That's not a 5s. Look at the spacing in the status bar and the text size compared to screen size. Not legit

It's quite honestly disgraceful. The iPhone 5 from two years ago had 1GB of RAM and experiences webpage and app reloads as a result. Now iPhones are lumbered with the same bottleneck for a further year at least! No way am I blowing Apple prices on yesteryear tech. It doesn't even look nice anyway! Stick with the 5S or go Android, that would be my advice. I'm going to get a Note 4 and come back to iPhones when they have proper specs. Of course I'm dismayed and I didn't want to jump ship but 1GB of RAM when this tab reloading issue has plagued iPhones (and iPads) for two years already?? As the kids would say, epic fail.

Stop worrying...

It's ION infused 1 GB of RAM.

Funny thing is my Ipad Air has been crashing Safari like crazy for the past 2 weeks. Especially on the Apple site. It had been good since the first update but now act like it did in November.

Lol

Today is the definition of first world problems...after conflicting reports and articles, I'm starting to believe my beloved 6 Plus has 1GB of RAM.

As a shareholder I'm glad Apple saved their money, as a customer I'm devastated. I get many will try to defend their decision but I personally bought the highest 6 Plus model...that's $1,000 off contract.

How will I survive the next two years of Safari reloads?

This is satire, right?

1GB of RAM can't possibly mean that much to you.

I use my rMini everyday, and have had no issues with it only having 1 GB of RAM. I suppose if you do a lot of gaming, then yes, 2GB is really preferred. But for everyday use, such a texting, web browsing, FB, and a few apps, 1GB will not be an issue.

Once again proving customer support agents have no effing idea what they're talking about. Nobody will know until Friday.

We will know at midnight tonight when the press gag is lifted.
