Due to heart issues I can't be without my Apple Watch. It has literally saved my life when I passed out cold on my bedroom floor and I monitor my heart rate all day every day. The battery is at 85% and I updated to 26 as soon as it was available but over the last 3 days the watch has started to die completely from 100% charge in 10 hours. I have restarted and factory reset the watch with no luck.

I wasn't planning on replacing it until Series 12 comes out in September. I'm hoping it has the blood pressure monitor as rumored as I can really use that. So if mine continues to deteriorate at this rate do I buy a Series 11 and upgrade it when Series 12 comes out? Buy a used one for now and keep it as a backup?

when you say "factory reset" I assume you mean un-pair/re-pair. Have you set it up as new or restored from backup? try setting it up as new if you haven't done so yet..
I have a S7 as my "sleep" watch ( wear it every other day for sleep tracking) and I have not noticed any battery drain, and it is now on 26.4

I unpaired it reset it and set it up as new. This watch has always lasted at least a day and a half on a single charge until now. One time I was away for 2 1/2 days and still had juice left when I got home.
