I went with the 42mm SS w/ Milanese as well. I agree it will be the iconic watch and band combo for the first generation watch at least.

These types of bands are typically a men's style. So I wouldn't worry about it looking feminine to others.

I tried the Milanese loop today on a SS and also was thoroughly convinced that it will be added to my collection. I'm going to order SS with sport band first then leather loop and lately Milanese for extra classy affairs. It feels perfect for me. Magnets are strong and it hugs my wrist unlike link bracelet

The watch (and bands) is a fashion accessory, that's a technology oriented object, and everyone's opinion will be different. I wanted the Milanese loop, and really don't care about what anyone thinks of it. It's like all my tattoo's, I got them for me, not you. If you don't like the look, God gave you a neck so you can turn your head. LOL. Just my opinion.

And I'm not a fashionista, I wear button up plaid shirts and blue jeans, no rings, no watches. Just sounds like a fun design for me to wear and talk about.

I ordered the Milanese loop because for the price of that, 2 extra band and a charger I was coming in cheaper than the SS link.

All of the pictures of people trying it in store make it look great. Better than I think it looks on apples website.

I bought it site unseen but feel good about the purchase.

I was kind of worried the band would pull my wrist hairs but that wasn't an issue.

What hair? There is hardly any hair on your wrist :)

I have tried SS Milanese loop and my wrist is like a monkeys wrist, very hairy. Zero problems, no hair pulling or such. i ant for Sport SG but a part of me still wanted SS with Milanese loop. Just decided not to pay that much for the first generation.

The Milanese Loop promises to be very comfortable since it breathes. And frankly I think it looks very classy.

I had a stretchy Colibri stainless band on an old watch that was stolen long ago. Still miss that band.

I'm probably going for the space grey Sport with a black band in a couple months. But I'll look at the Milanese Loop and reserve the right to go for that...

I said pride of place on the apple store, the image they choose when you actually want to buy the thing not just random images on their website.

Love how protective people get about their chosen bands lol

Except the bands they showcase are actually in rotation - here's what I get when I load up the store.apple.com/uk at the moment - the brown leather loop.

My very quick in-store review of the SS watch with the Milanese band

Well, I canceled both of my Apple Watch Sport pre-orders, that I ordered at 3:06 am est on 4/10, and switched to the stainless steel watch in both 38mm and 42mm, both with black sport bands. I'm planning to get 2 Milanese loop bands to compliment them in a few months. However, after reading that the Apple Care + covers just the watch and the INCLUDED band, I thought, it might just be worth it, to pay the extra money now, to get the SS watches along with the Milanese band, so that that more expensive band would be covered, instead of the much cheaper sports band. Gonna decide today. I wish there was officially confirmation of this though.

Update: I've now switched both the 38mm and 42 mm watches to the stainless steel with Milanese, and order 2 black sports bands. That SS w/Milanese is insanely sexy lol.

Milanese band

I was in the Navy for 8 years, I have been to a lot of different countries and the first time i saw a Milanese band was in Europe. I liked the band a lot back then. Once I found out :apple:Watch was coming with this band i knew I wanted it. It's lightweight, stylish, and durable. It's not too girly IMO. European fashion trends tend to be years ahead of the United States, as well as Apple fashion trends. The Link band is overpriced for what it is. People are flocking to the Milanese band because it's the cheapest Metal band for the :apple:Watch.
