Although I might have trusted the OP in itself, your signature makes it all sooo fishy..

Anyway, at least I hope ifixdirect does have new management and that Michael Novikov is out. He is a total scam and/or totally incapable, either way I would not recommend anyone doing any business with him. (that Google may index his name here and people searching for his name stumble upon this post)

Not sure why everybody thinks I'm this Michael person. Martynov is my last name and doesnt associate with novikov. None the less, yeah i did notice the slight misalignment in the home button and I'll contact them on Monday to see if they can fix that.

As far as the red and blue goes, the home button color is off but these are just samples so maybe theyll update that. If i do visit them on monday I'll post an update to all your questions.

On the other note, if my signature is violating any rules I'll remove it. I'm merely trying to help these guys out because they are eating dirt because of the old owners.

dude give it up lol.

Do you guys want my picture or something lol? It's absurd that everybody is assuming I'm some kind of this ifixdirect mole. I guess my confidence in them is a little too much but I'm only telling you what I think. It's up to you to decide what you want to do. I just can't wait till another member here posts their review so everybody can start accusing him or her for being ifix lmao.

On the other note, GO JETS!!

why does the red back have black wording for "iphone" as opposed to mirrored silver?

Its actually the same thing as the black one and the white one, i guess i took a bad shot. I spoke to them this morning and i scheduled my appointment for Tuesday to come by and have my home button fixed. If you guys have any questions you'd like to ask asides from the ones that are here now, please let me know.

PS: Adjusted my signature since some people thought it was "fishy"

I don't think your the ifixdirect guy. I think you are posting a review. Good for you. (Now watch my rep go down the drain, because people will think I am part of ifixdirect. They will neglect to see I have been registered a while and I'm a regular. Some people...)

I been reading this and find it completely sad. I mean come on please look at the picture angles, and compare them to the site. Also i wonder why would you make your phone white, and buy red and blue parts(or better yet take pictures), while ifix miraculously just put them up for sale.(super clever) Also i find it hard to believe this ifix character still is in business. After all the b/s it is obv that you are the owner posting up all of this. Stop covering it up. I really wanted to make my iphone white, but with all this controversy i might as well leave it black. Give up dude, it is quite clear.

After all having a white iphone isn't that exclusive anymore ;)

Is there much of a difference between the black and white in regards to fingerprints and reflections?

And does anyone know what the wallpaper is on the blue one?

i wouldnt let iresq work on my phone I had to send an iphone 2g to them 3 times to fix a digitizer. it came back halfass back together and the new screen would break after a week every time. Maybe they learned what they were doing since then but that was enough of a headache that I wont use them again.

wow im surprised to hear that about iresq. They were actually my primary choice for the conversion before ifixdirect. How long ago did you try them??

Well I sent an email to ifixdirect support yesterday afternoon for an issue I've been having with my white front's proximity sensor. I had them covert my phone way back last November. No response yet. Let's see how long it takes them to respond under their "New Management". Par for the course last year was about 3 to 4 days... And that was before they really went south on customer service apparently.

Wow! If it means anything their customer support got back to me in less than 24 hours. That's a new record! And they were cordial and apologetic about the slight delay. Now I'd say that's definitely progress :)

The issue I've been having is that when I am on the phone and its not next to my face (i.e. the screen is on) and I try to touch the screen, the sensor is overly sensitive and will cause the screen to turn off and on. If I keep my hand low and away from the sensor the screen is fine.

ifix support told me if I was comfortable with taking my phone apart and could get to the front panel of the phone where the holes are for the sensor and that I need to use a sharpy marker and mark over them. This will obscure the light coming in a bit and will fix my problem. I haven't done it yet but I will try it this weekend. Wish me luck.

Also when I got my phone back from them the home button was slightly crooked. They should be sending me a new one to fix this.

So far so good!

You describe the same problem I've had since having them swap defective parts about the same time. So know you're not alone.

I'm don't know if I feel like tearing my phone down again. Ive kinda just lived with it, but man it can drive you mad if your trying to punch in a credit card or account number.

Have you tried taking photos/video with flash on? I heard some of those white cases make the camera unusable because of light leaks...

I heard the same thing but some people are saying that it works with no problem, I just placed an order from them for the white color swap kit. It should be here in about 3 days so after i convert it myself and hopefully not break anything ill post up somepics of how it looks with the flash on. Hopefully eveything will be good.
