MyWi - works usb but not wifi?

I also cannot connect to wifi whereas USB works fine on my iphone 4. I'm running IOS 4.0.1, jailbroken with jailbreakme.com, MyWi v4.3 installed via Rock.

Seems like a bunch of other folks are reporting similar issues.

I too, also, as well, etc. was having the same problems. Drove me nuts! I went out to rock, clicked on mywi 4.0, reinstall - works like a freaking charm now.

Uninstall/reinstall worked for me as well! I had to uninstall/reinstall twice with reboots inbetween, but I'm now typing this response over wifi and not usb!

IPhone 4 wireless tethering to MAC WORKS - NOT on PC

No update. I got this to work just now on my iPhone 4, Nothing special needed. I just turned on the WiFi tethering and connected to it on my MBP. Works as advertised. I'm posting through MyWi for this reply.

I think we all understand that IP4 tethers to iDevices including MBP. We also all know that 3GS MyWi seems to continue to work.

What we are ALL looking for, is if you have an IPhone 4 and ANY version of MyWi, we are unable to use wireless tethering as your Windows PC says "Windows was unable to connect to IPhone MyWi" and if you haven't called AT&T to get rid of your unlimited data option forever (those of you who still have it like me), all you will see when you try to tether using USB is the option to call AT&T or go online. No USB tethering option.

So....

Who has information about ANSERING ffuuman's post that specifically asks about that error and how to overcome it???

Are you tethering TO a Windows laptop??? If so, I'd like to start from a cleanly restored IPhone 4 with jbme and use what works for you... I still get "Windows was unable to connect..." but am able to tether to IPad, iDevices etc. just not to a windows laptop.

I also was able to connect using WiFi mode to my HP laptop running XP.

I got Windows XP and it works fine, I think only Windows 7 is having the issue.

if you cannot connect to mywi, you're likely on windows 7 64-bit.
i found the solution on another forum: update your wireless drivers. using the automatic search for updated drivers may not work.
i made windows automatically search for updated drivers for my atheros wireless adapter and it worked.

anyone try mywi 4.3.4 wifi tethering with an ipad and youtube? or can anyone explain why it works when i'm web browsing, and then breaks when i try to play a video from the youtube app?
something about packet size or header, i'm guessing?

Still unable to get mbp to connect to MyWi 4 via WiFi

Hi All,
I have ready through all of the posts and tried the suggestions mentioned and still am unable to get my to the internet via my mbp connected to MyWi. I am running iOS 4.0.1 and MyWi 4.3. My mbp will connect to the network but I do not get the normal Airport Icon and am unable to to get to the internet. However, I am able to do so via my iPad. Any other suggestions?

Nope! Im on Windows XP 32 bit

I searched both manually and automatically and there are not any updated drivers for my atheros wireless adapter.

I sent them an email today letting them know that there app is the best but it doesnt work! everyone needs to email them so they will get off their butts and fix it!

MyWi started fizzling out on me this evening.

Will not tether via WiFi or USB.

I wonder if AT&T is doing something on their
end or if this is a MyWi problem.
