Milking you for every last cent? It's a 99 cent game that has gotten more content updates then pretty much every game out there. If this were an Xbox Live game every single level update would be a piece of paid DLC.

I've no problem with paying the 99 cents, thats great value for money, its when they then release an overpriced iPad version for something like $5.49 when they're perfectly capably of developing an app that's optimised for both. None of this having to double the screen size and becoming pixelated on your iPad for an iPhone/iPod only app.

Please explain to me how that was non-sense when other developers, for example Halfbrick, design a very popular app like Jetpack Joyride that is designed for both the iPhone and iPad, you know that wee + symbol that Apple have been pushing to show that a developer has taken their time to design for both. Other examples would be Rage HD, Zombie Gunship, Monster Dash, Temple Run... just to name a few.

Plus loading your game progress to Game Center regardless of which iOS you use is also a great feature. If your happy to pay for the same app twice thats up to you but this whole 99 cents for iPhone and $5.49 for iPad is ridiculous when other developers have illustrated that its possible.

So you being the one to decide your reply, if I were you, I would stop posting non-sense!!

They decide how to price, you pay. That's it.
It's not about the capability of mashing the two apps into one, it's not about willingness. It's just because they want to keep those distinct to price them differently. You adapt to it, I'm not stating that they do it right or not, but I'm more pointing it out possible reasons why they do it.

They do it to make more money, simple! Does it take 5 and half (iphone $0.99 / iPad $5.49) times more work to create the iPad version, NO. And its not about mashing two apps as you word it, cause its one app design ported for two devices.

Anyways lets see what they come out with, you never know, could be one app for all iDevices lol :D

about time they evolved the format.
Angry Birds Rio had a crack with the bosses but it's the poorest version of AB in my opinion.

Any news if the original AB is now done with - can I delete it from my phone!

I mean: somewhere they need to collect money from.
It's not exactly charity work or volunteering.

Please point out at which point I said that they should not charge for the apps?

I've always reflected the need to pay for apps, all I have ever queried was the true value in the cost for iPad apps in comparison to iPhone apps and the illustration of other developers designing iDevice compatible apps!!

You need to take a chill pill lol

Are you providing a chill pill through charity or will you charge for it

There are issues with doing apps as universal apps though. For instance, you have to have the assets for both the iPhone, iPhone Retina, iPad, and now iPad Retina in the same bundle. Which means your app size will go over 20 mb (now 50 mb, which might not be as much of a problem.) Which means either you cut down on art quality considerably, rewrite your graphics code to reuse art work (probably at the expense of art quality and/or processing speed), or bump the bundle size over Apple's carrier limit which might seriously cut into sales.

It's not as easy as flipping a switch, dude.
