I once went to an IHOP up north. You go in any IHOP on a saturday morning and look around. That is what I mean by "those people". Each restaurant is the same, no matter. Granted I've been to a diner 2 times in 7 years. Not a big "go out to eat breakfast" person.

I dont see any fun in watching the spectacular variety of human types (while eating food). Food is the key here. If anything, you can get plenty of human specimen observation in any club in Miami.

Just wondering, does the air get stale living in that bubble of yours?

I like to make my own pancakes from scratch. So good.

There are 2 secrets:

  1. to make the batter the night before and to let it sit in the refrigerator overnight
  2. to use real maple syrup

i really would refuse to eat in this establishment because of the people that normally eat there and the eating conditions.

I tend to not like eating in places where you have no privacy, and you are like seated right up on complete strangers who are loud and disgusting.

I dont consider myself privileged or anything, I just prefer eating in private homes or private dining rooms.

I never eat fast food, nor the Chilis of the world for that exact reason.

Ummmm okay.

In life, we tend to hate in others what we really hate in ourselves.

I bet you're a lot of fun to hang out with.

I realize you must be from FL. Lots of weirdos in FL, especially miami. How anyone could call that place home is beyond me.

Hey now, lets not get crazy here. I was born and raised in Miami. I lived in Florida until I moved to Colorado in 2005. Like all places to live, there are some great and some not so great things about it.

You really still haven't explained what "those people" are. Do you mean people with mouths, perfect for eating pancakes? Families? Hung over teenagers? Grandparents with their grandkids?

Your reason for posting seems to be to create controversy out of a perfectly innocent topic....

Hear that everyone? More for us!!!!!

Seriously, dude, get over yourself.

No one I know goes to establishments such as IHOP or McDonalds. We just dont eat that kind of stuff. Maybe its a Miami beach type of thing, I dont know. I am not implying I am therefore of higher status because I dont eat junk food, just saying I dont like going to those kind of places.

I much prefer to just eat a bowl of cereal minutes after I get up.

I do go to subway from time to time. Pretty nice place, dont like the smell inside though. I need to have someone else pick it up for me or delivered.

That still doesn't answer the question of what you mean by "those people".

If you would have simply stated that you don't eat that kind of food, that would be the end of that. But you didn't. If you don't eat pancakes, why are you posting in the official pancake thread? You decided to imply something about the customers of IHOP. What are you implying? How many times a day do you wash your hands?

No offense, but you sound kind of mentally slow. Are you residing in a group home by any chance? I know folks like yourself who do and have difficulty with managing life. They have fears of going to public places to eat too, and dislike the patrons as well.

Funny you should ask. I probably use Purell 9-10 times a day.

"Those people" - pancake/bacon loving americans. I'll leave that there.

I do eat pancakes though. - homemade with no syrup/butter/etc. I just dont like them at IHOP. I am all for all-american pancake day...just not at any IHOP.

Dont worry about offending me. Even though macrumors supposedly has a policy where posters dont make fun of or mock other posters, many people do it to me all the time. I guess since they are more regular users, they get a little bit more leverage. I dont mind though. Just means they actual read my posts.

and I dont live in a group home.

^^^^^ Me too!:)

No one is making fun.... people are trying to figure out where the hell you're coming from.

I don't think that's what you meant by "those people". You come off very elitist.

IIRC, Industrial Space does live in a group home, and I'd guess he recognizes something from your posts that relates to his experiences....

One of the primary foundations of this site...Mr. Steve himself, probably would then be classified as an ultra-elitist, if I am coming across as elitist. I don't like sugar and fat and I like fitness. If that makes me sound elitist..okay.

Yeah, but I don't remember the last time he came to my playground and told me I was fat...

Liking fitness is one thing

Saying you don't want to be around "those people" is quite another
