Only reason I ask is sometimes when I start a outdoor walk it refuses to count and fill in the Exercise rings.
I see that you got it already, but in case anyone searches this in the future, if you're not moving fast enough to elevate your heart rate to a certain level, the watch won't count the minutes as exercise minutes. However, it will still count them towards the challenge, which is only based on distance, not heart rate.

Hike, walk, run, or wheelchair, but never a bike for some reason. Guess that explains why I have none of these one-day awards.
Lots of these one-day awards allow for the bike to be used, but the National Parks one is not one of those.

I have noticed however those times when the Exercise rings won't fill up when id go back to check the Outdoor Walk summary it will say/show with the Heart rate Graph as unavailable....Not sure if that has anything to do with it as well?
