Does any one have any experience with Navigon systems? are they any good? Frankly I don't care for the TomToms and if the Navigon is upto par, out goes my Garmin on fleabay :)

How much would you pay for the app? I think $60 is a fair asking price... but I suppose that may be a little hopeful.

Cheers !

I checked the European countries top paid apps and Navigon in many of them has taken the No. 1 spot . In nearly all of them Navigon is in the top 10. It's amazing if you think that the price is $94.99.
I think that Tomtom has lost a lot of money for not being the first.
I initially intended to buy the Tomtom app but I just couldn't resist so I got Navigon.

i'm selling my old GPS in the car for this new tomtom set up. i hope it's worth the money. i'll prolly use all the money i get selling my old one to set up this new one, but it will be a much smaller pain in the ass.

Whichever one is released in the US first, ill get.

I'll wait and see how the navigon looks in the states.....I can't stand TomTom software....but for the sake of practicality my garmin is going on ebay....I have a ridiculous amount of electronic equipment that I cart about without needing to worry about a GPS

haha same here. Navigon is supposed to be pretty good so.

Got Navigon today for my 16gb 3g - I'm in the UK, just been out testing it against my wife's tomtom.

Its actually pretty good, could do with more voices and it seems to see Tesco as Bloomingdales? Also need street names on 3-D view.

But does the satnav just as well as the tomtom! Its good. Found sats quicker than the tomtom unit and never lost them in a half hour drive.

Oh, and you need at least 4gb or so free to install it, the app itself is much less, so you can add stuff back once its installed.

I agree. I'll buy the one that get to the store first. But I won't over
pay for their software when I already have the hardware. Of course
if I decide to buy the TomTom mount, I'd expect paying more. I can
purchase a full blown TomTom unit from Amazon.com for
$119.00. I would also not pay a subcription. Instead I'd just
buy the lowest priced Garmin I could find.

I'm not going to rush into it just yet. I'm going to wait until TomTom is released and see which gets better reviews. I wish they'd hurry up!

tomtom need to release there app ASAP, im starting to get itchy fingers :D

I have a regular Navigon GPS and love it. Can't wait until they have a US version for the iPhone. Not a big fan of TomTom and Garmin.

I wonder if the TomTom accessory will be adjustable so it can hold an iPhone in a case. I don't want to have to take my iPhone out of its case every time I get in the car.

wtf. my Garmin only cost me like 105. and it costs $95 for the Navigon software? The iPhone GPS would be nice for the occasional business travel with a rented car, but i don't think I can justify $95 for something when i already have a Nuvi that works perfectly fine.
