~NBA 2009-2010 Season Discussion

Once a huge NBA fan when I was in high school and college, but I have really tuned out of NBA in recent years I guess since it went from NBC to ABC/ESPN.

I just found out a few days ago that Seattle Supersonics had moved to Oklahoma City. It shocked me a bit... remembering how they once were a top NBA team when Shawn Kemp was in his prime. 😕

Well coming in to the new decade of 2010.

The Los Angeles Lakers where voted the TEAM OF THE DECADE by SI.

and so far the 09-10 season has been a battle between the lakers and celtics for the best record.😀


and the dec 25th game between the lakers and cavs was really not that good, that the fans even booed the lakers. idk why? but its funny!😀

No problem with being happy. Lakers win game 1! I was born and raised in LA, and while I'm not a huge Lakers fan (I sided with Shaq in the Kobe/Shaq debacle), I absolutely LOATHE the Celtics and Boston in general. Their team plays dirty, they're jerks, and they're crybabies (Pierce & Rondo). I love Ray Allen so I don't direct any hate towards him.

I really think the Lakers will win this series, but I think it will take 7 games. The Celtics aren't just going to roll over and die. Here's KG's statline for the next game.

9/17, 6/7 FT for 24 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks. I'm calling it.

Lakers win by 7.

what the hell are you talking about? just because they play physical doesn't mean they play dirty. the celtics are actually a team too. no celtic has led scoring for the team two games in a row throughout the entire playoffs. you can't say that for the los angeles kobes.

We can all conclude now that Boston won't be able to win the series in Boston....they need to win it in LA if they hope.

The only "dirty" play the Celtics do regularly is moving screens. They get away with them all the time and they've made a habit of it since Thibideau arrived there. That's not really dirty though. They should absolutely keep trying it if it's working.

Moving screens, Kevin Garnett shoving and throwing elbows, Rondo punching people, etc. The Celtics are far dirtier than the Lakers, and the Lakers are good defensively as well. Look at the Bulls/Celtics series last year, that shows you what kind of team Boston is in terms of how dirty they are.

Lakers up 2-1. Paul Pierce has been shut down by Ron Artest, an NFL lineman who happens to play in the NBA for whatever reason. For the self-proclaimed best player on earth, Crybaby Paul has a lot of work to do. Rondo has been looking good (even hitting a few jumpers!) and Ray Allen, like most shooters are, is super streaky. You just don't expect him to miss open ones, that's not going to happen again.

I don't know who will win tomorrow.

Looks like Badandy is spot on. Lakers kicked some ass tonight - but will they bring the same intensity on Thursday?
