Lots of people have used that particular model. What exactly is your question?

I was wondering if any users were unhappy with that particular MacBook or quite pleased with it? I was wondering if they would have preferred a different model? Is there features of that particular model that is frustrating or annoying.

It's the only MB to have the Aluminum enclosure, though if she (your daughter) is going to need mobility, I would suggest a newer model as the battery will last longer. That model has advertised 5 hours if I remember correctly.

Fantastic machine! It's my second MacBook and I like the aluminum much better than the polycarbs. I agree that an upgrade to 4GB would make it even better.

    Thanks for the replies

Well by the time I ordered this morning ( 9/28/2010) this particular model was not available from Apple. So I oped to get this model

Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    13.3-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display
    4GB memory
    250GB Hard Drive
    8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
    SD card slot
    Built-in 7-hour battery
    NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics
    Illuminated keyboard

    This has the better battery.
    Thanks for your responses.

That's a really good upgrade, especially the RAM.

Got one simular like yours. (2010 macbook pro refubished)

    2.4GHz
    4GB ram
    250GB HD
    320M graphics

I would recomend getting refubished. Great price and almost completely new with apple care plan. Plus, I would recomend getting macbook pro like mine.
