http://www.bricklink.com/
Real cool site with thousands of LEGO sellers from around the world. Easy to search if you know the set number or the collection it was part of.
srobert said:By the way, there in now a new and improved version of Bricksmith (available as universal binary). It's free by the way.
I always build my creations in Bricksmith since I'm always missing a bunch of parts. Then, I know exactly what I need to order. ^_^
Higly recommended for all LEGO fans.

And yes, I also have a listing of set numbers that I was considering getting rid of. Going through it right now -- looks like I can get a nice chunk o'change for my Flying Ninja Fortress! I'd much prefer to move to a bigger house and have a dedicated Lego room instead...
Hector said:dude, lego room.
thats now a requisite for any house i ever buy.
i cant find hydraulics are they supported in the app?

Agreed - even with the kits, I'd seldom leave them as the kit setup, preferring to break them up and make my own design.Doctor Q said:How many people agree with me that the best Lego sets are the ones with a trillion blocks of all shapes and sizes and colors and nothing in particular you're intended to build, and not the kits designed to make one specific vehicle or building or creature?
Build a Lego bridge, of course.Doctor Q said:as soon as I can figure out in Google Maps how to walk from California to Denmark.

I always preferred to invent my own structures, not follow step-by-step instructions to build one specific thing shown on the box using all sorts of specialized pieces just for that purpose.

Lego pieces should be infinitely reusable, but I think they sell these specialized kits so kids will blindly follow directions, put the completed toy on the shelf, never use those pieces again, and buy another kit next time. They make more money but kids lose their chance to be creative.
How many people agree with me enough to join the protest march I just decided to organize? I'll be marching from Los Angeles to Denmark to give my anti-over-specialized-Lego petition to the Lego company in person, as soon as I can figure out in Google Maps how to walk from California to Denmark.

I've also spotted large Lego creatures in a toy store at Universal CityWalk Hollywood. Perhaps I can ride a giant Lego dinosaur to get to Denmark.Tanglewood said:Wouldn't be easier to just walk to Legoland in Carlsbad, Ca to give them your petition. 90 miles compared to 5000 miles isn't as impressive, but at least you you can get a picture with a lifesize Darth Vader made from Lego and hit up the beach afterwards.
