In the part menu, change the category for either Wheels or Tyre. That should narrow it a lot. See if you can find the part you need in there. I had trouble finding some parts at first but it gets easier with time. The searh field helps a lot.

Thank you :) The search filed does help a lot. I have been waiting to play with LEGO for a while now but was depressed when I went to the store to find that they did not have any basic sets but all these robots and such. This application will be a good substitute.. for now :D

The Children's Museum in downtown Los Angeles was the first place I ever saw thousands of Legos in one place: a room filled with them. No instruction booklets, just bricks in huge piles. Kids' eyes would get THIS BIG when they'd walk into that room.

My tub of lego had pieces from the pirate sets, space sets, and the race set all mixed together. Had way more fun playing hours on end with that mix than I ever did following a booklet. Picture massive battles between Space Pirate hybrids.

Every Christmas my family puts little set of Lego in each others stocking, though this past year we didn't do it because apparently the traditional lego sets have been pushed aside for the monstrosity that is bionics at most of the local retail stores (Toys R Us included). Needless to say I was a little disappointed.

LEGO Group to outsource

LEGO Group to outsource major parts of its production to Flextronics

Earlier today, LEGO employees were notified that the greater part of the company’s production will be outsourced to an Electronics Manufacturing Services company, Flextronics, over the coming three-year period.

The decision to outsource means that present production at the LEGO Group’s US-based subsidiary in Enfield, Connecticut, will be phased out during the first quarter of 2007 and relocate to Flextronics’ production facilities in Mexico. Likewise, distribution in the USA will relocate. Altogether, the relocation will affect up to 300 employees.

This makes me sad. :( I guess it's an unfortunate reality of today's competitive economic environment, and I prefer that Lego outsource and live on than to declare bankrupty and disappear forever... Somehow Mega blocks just feel cheap. Flextronics generally does pretty good work...

(Note also that the Legoland parks are no longer owned by Lego)

dammit, i was going to build an enzo firrari but i ran out of red roof bricks...

now it just looks dodgy....

and i wish i had four big wheels, the two on the back were from a motorbike kit.

the parts look way too specialized, i like my technic but i like it standardized, i have a large amount of red roofing, but it runs out quickly when makeing complex structures, i'll probably try makieng a standard wedge shaped affair.

though i need some more pneumatic gear, i want to make each wheel independet, also as a kid i always wanted a motor but could never afford the kit, some day i'll blow like 50 quid on lego on ebay or something.

How many people agree with me that the best Lego sets are the ones with a trillion blocks of all shapes and sizes and colors and nothing in particular you're intended to build, and not the kits designed to make one specific vehicle or building or creature?
Completely.

Yes, I miss my LEGO stuff. Gave it to the nephews. :D

They used it for many years. Then they went off to college and their parents sold the LEGO.

...unfortunately, at the time as well as now, I simply have no space in which I could have stored my LEGO stuff. Arg!

Blocks were so cool because you could make anything. Only limited by your imagination.

LEGO were my life in Kinder! I had the castles, ships, underwater stations, and jungle sets. But I also liked mixing them all together to create crazy houses and other stuff. :) They have some pretty cool stuff at the Lego store in Downtown Disney. The Harry Potter stuff caught my eye.
