Whats with this I head about Swans M10s not having decent bass?

What are you listening to that the M10s wouldn't give enough bass response? There is a knob on the back of the sub for bass adjustment, when I crank these (which is rarely) there is ample bass.

Perhaps every review that's been read about the M10s had the sub placed in the wrong spot. Unlike most 2.1s, the M10s are meant to have the sub placed on the desk, not on the floor.

I LOVE my M10s, perfect value for money. Best set out there for under $150 imo.

Boston Acoustics makes a 2.1 Computer System. That one is a little pricey ($179 MSRP) but I guarantee it's amazing and that it'll last for years (their build quality is above par). It's cheaper on Amazon for $155. 5 star reviews. Doesn't surprise me.

The Klipsch 2.1 system does sound good but I personally feel that Boston's build quality is higher. I own an older set and it's rock solid (physically and sonically).

you think every single klipsch owner had this issue?
highly doubt it though.

thats where returning a product or doing research on one can help clear up these messes.

Dude I didn't say that everyone had the problem, but it was a huge deal. People had their amps blowing up multiple times.

Mine lasted well through the warranty and the amp blew up. It was repaired and it later blew up again. There were tons of people with the same experience (multiple repairs).

Products don't get returned after warranties end, and people tend to expect $400 speakers to last longer than a year or so.

This is an old site, but there was a ton of activity when they were dying off. Hardocp had a huge thread back then too. I honestly don't know what their QC is like today but they lost me.

I listen to Electronica/Trance/whatever and Hip Hop so that's why bass is such a necessity. I can't find the site that had so many reviews saying it had poor lows and bass but I know that that's what I read..

You're right, the M10s are not for you. The low end is perfect for orchestra up to rock, but as far as really thumping hiphop there are way better options.
