Need Clarification: Do photos and videos look better on the new MBP screen? Mixed reviews!

I don't want to spend like 1500 bucks then not even notice a difference at the photos and videos I view.

I have done with video editing on both Windows and MBP, I don't see much difference. Only thing I'm worry about the laptop price to spend.
