2 Lower the GHZ when battery mode is in use (I have 1.6GHZ) and lower the V that powers the CPU too (I have 0,93 if I recall well)

You can't 'improve' a battery just like you can't make someone younger.

Basically plug your adaptor in and use that in bed. Or buy a new battery

I beg to differ. I had a Mid 2007 MacBook which shipped with a 5020 mAh battery. At that point I've had for a little less than 2 years. With good charging habits, I've actually gained battery life. On July 24, 2009 it peaked at 5083 mAh capacity. I took a screen shot.
