Hi I just downloaded a video editor called VideoPad so I can make videos for youtube,
but now after installation, there's a giant blank grey screen popup blocking everything.
How do i remove it?

I closed the app & other apps, restarted my imac intel,
the screen still there, Apple forums said to open Activity Monitor,
I opened Activity Monitor but I don't know what to look for and Quit??

Any ideas anyone??

When i put any app in Full Screen, the popup doesn't show, but appears when not in full screen.
how do i check wht each app has open in Activity Monitor?

Try a Safe Mode startup.
If the big popup disappears, then it may be due to a login item, such as a Launch Agent or an app that's opened at startup.

Where did you download VideoPad from? I see it listed in the Mac App Store, and a Download link on the maker's web page. I also spotted a few links at software aggregators.

Here's the Support page for VideoPad's maker:
To contact them directly, see the Contact Tech Support info near the bottom of the page.

Looks like they have a bug.

The menubar tells me that "Firefox Nightly" is the front-most app in that screenshot. Or should be. If the popup window belongs to another app, then its menubar isn't active yet.

The checkbox at the bottom of the VideoPad window says "Show this start screen when VideoPad launches". You should uncheck that if VideoPad is presenting that window.

If the VideoPad window has keyboard focus, maybe a key like ESC or Cmd-dot will dismiss that window. That's just a guess, not something I read in their VideoPad User Guide.

If you can't get the "popup window" problem solved any other way, I suggest you use AppCleaner to remove the app and ancilliary files.
