Need help with iPad controlling iPhone

I am a sound tech, and I use my iPhone to play walk in/set break music (hard wired to the mixer). I use my iPad to control my digital mixer during these times to fine tune requests on stage. At times during some shows i would like to skip a song or choose one while I'm on stage. the mixer and iphone is 75'-150' away and time is short. Is there a way I can control my iPhone playlist from my iPad?

I haven't tried the app myself, but looks promising.
