Yeah, I have the 7 (regular) but I think I'm leaning towards just upgrading this year. I typically upgrade every other year but I've already held off last year as I was hoping that the big re-design would have happened this year (since this is supposedly not an "S" year). Stinks that Apple waited 3 cycles to do their big upgrade this time around...

Pricing will be incredibly interesting with the 2020 iPhone lineup though. Prices for many of the currently expensive parts will slowly start to fall, especially for the OLED screens. 5G chips and antennas might add a lot to the price though.

Personally, I’m looking forward to a midsize iPhone in 2020, which has been rumored for quite some time. But I expect Apple to discuss more of the revamped pricing structure this fall moving forward. I think that will be more interesting during the keynote, aside from the hardware.

Trust me, go to Apple store, replace the battery for 68, they will also re seal the battery, that makes your phone goes shinny and new for 2 more years.
We can wait for the 2021 5G Phone

In my case now I have an 7plus and according to Apple it values 250 Euro.

I decided to wait until 2020 iPhone because of all the rumors and speculations. But I thought my 7plus will cost less next year maybe more than I guess. So what if I buy a XR with exchange program now and next year I can exchange the XR as the same way to get 2020 iPhones . But my concern is "Is it worth it?" I don't know the exchange values like will my 7plus drop to 150 or 100 ? Or simply will XR be 450-500 for exchange next year ?

What would be your suggestions for me to do ? Any advices ?

Not worth it in my opinion, and wasteful from an electronics perspective. Buy what you need when you need it.

Put in a new battery now. Wait till September. If you switch to an 8P at that time, it will be $100 less which would have covered the cost of the battery.

I am currently still using the iPhone 7 Plus product red since it first came out. I know it’s old. I noticed after year 2 the battery is starting to drain quicker and it’s becoming annoying to have to charge the phone twice a day.

Question is should i wait till September to see what apple brings out or just get the 8 Plus or XS max?

Opinions needed. Thank you.

I would wait. Carriers will often send really good offers out of the blue. I paid $380 for my XR after trading in my 6 with no changes in plan or new line.

I don’t know if I get a new battery and wait it out until 2020. 2020 is way too far out and you can’t trust the rumors for that phone just yet.

If you still like your iPhone 7 Plus and just the battery life sucks, just get the battery replaced by Apple. I think it’s like $79? If you really don’t like the 7 plus anymore or are really bored with it and your sweating the latest models just skip the battery replacement and wait less than 2 months for the 2019 model.

Even though it is inconvenient, I would hold off on any purchase until after the keynote address. If you don't see anything you like from the keynote, purchase one of the current phones from Apple, either brand new or Apple refurbished.

Wait. Get battery replaced. iPhone 7 is still great, especially because Qualcomm modem. Hopefully the next gen of iPhones will have Qualcomm modems, and you then can buy a new one. Don't buy an iPhone with Intel modems, they suck.

Get the battery replaced for about $50 and it will give your phone extra life and extra value. It'll be a bit zippier as well as going a full day.
The 8+ is hardly any different from what you have so I wouldn't bother with that.
Wait to see what comes and if it has features that you like, then upgrade but then you can wait and you have choices.
The current phones are near the end of their cycle so wait.
Sometimes, Apple do a really good trade in deal (around Christmas particularly) so look out for one of those and upgrade then if that's what you fancy to get the very best deal.
