Exact dimensions aren't critical. Something like 15" wide and 6" tall. Not one of the big monsters. I just need to print from my Mac and iOS devices. TIA.Please give the dimensions of the space it needs to fit into.
been using a Brother HL-2370DW for about 1.5 years now, very happy with it, works fine from my Mac and my wife's Windows computer ... probably as compact as it gets...Exact dimensions aren't critical. Thanks! Looks perfect. And it's black.been using a Brother HL-2370DW for about 1.5 years now, very happy with it, works fine from my Mac and my wife's Windows computer ... probably as compact as it gets...
Yeah I thought about that. But I discovered that scanning with my phone is much more convenient. Not my thread but following due to a sim. need & the size works for me but no scan capability, hmmm ........
You might want to double-check the specs. Thanks! Looks perfect. And it's black.
I am actually using AirPrint with mine…You might want to double-check the specs.
I didn't find specs for an HL-2370DW, only HL-L2370DW(XL). It doesn't list AirPrint as a supported protocol.
Specifications | HL-L2370DW(XL) | United States | Brother

However, Apple lists the HL-L2370DW(XL) in their lengthy list of AirPrint printers:

Yea, I used to have multifunction ink printers before this but have been using my iPhone for scanning for a few years, so didn’t miss that capability. iPhone is simpler…Yeah I thought about that. But I discovered that scanning with my phone is much more convenient.
Owe ya one @Crowbot as I forgot the AAPL notes app has the ability to scan.
Thanks, I will check those specs. You might want to double-check the specs.

There was a time where Brother printers did not play ball very well with graphic design programs such as QuarkXPress. Granted, not a lot of people use QXP anymore and this was years back. InDesign had the advantage of leveraging its PDF engine (essentially a software RIP) to print.I heard good things about Brothers. They are workhorses and Brother doesn't do anything ethically questionable with their printers. See
Best printer 2023: just buy this Brother laser printer everyone has, it’s fine
Do you really want to think any more about printers than this?www.theverge.com
For a review.
My needs are much simpler. Literally a couple of pages a month. That's why I'm switching from ink jet. The darn thing would always be gummed up and half of the ink went to head cleaning. And the color inks mysteriously disappeared in spite of my always printing mono. (I suspect that the printer uses a tiny bit of color ink in each print.)There was a time where Brother printers did not play ball very well with graphic design programs such as QuarkXPress. Wonder if things have changed.

This looks good. If only it wasn't white. We've been using the prior version of this one since 2020, no issues.

Agree. I'm sick of ink jet printers. As you noted, ink carts just don't stand up to aging. And there are only a few grams of ink, in spite of the size of the cart. I see Epson is selling a printer with large inkjet cartridges so things may go in the other direction. It seems a lot of low-cost printers these days are switching to ink subscriptions as a source of revenue. This began with ink-jets, where it's all but standard practice, but it also appears to be happening with laser printers. Inks dry out, so there's at least an argument that having new ink cartridges monthly may be an advantage. I don't think that can be justified with toner, unless there's something unusual about it.
I would avoid any printer that requires a toner subscription, especially if the toner is ONLY available as a subscription. A printer that offers toner cartridges for single purchase is the way to go.
I've never had a toner cartridge expire or "go bad", even after years of being installed. If a toner cartridge expires just because it's past the end of the subscription, then that's a needless recurring cost, especially in low-volume uses. Even if the printer costs a bit more up-front, the recurring costs won't be an ongoing drain.
