How are you able to upgrade every year for $100? On trade in plans, you're constantly paying monthly part of the 0% loan on the total price of the phone. You don't get that back. Resale of iphones have also taken a bit of a hit, I only got $450 for my wife's 6S 128gb and that's after being on sale for awhile on craigslist. Ebay has slightly higher prices but you're losing more on paypal/auction fees.

I'm not talking about the monthly installment. Im talking about the price to upgrade, which is tax and upgrade fee.

As for making payments vs. buying outright and selling later is personal preference. Looks like we both paid an equal amount to use our phones but you went through the hassle of selling to a private party. I paid $420 to use my iPhone 6s Plus for a year and then trade it in for a brand new one for free, just have to pay tax :(

I sold my 6S+ and bought a 7. I was primarily motivated by wanting to trade down in size. After 18 months of a 6+ and then 6S+ I was fed up with the size and weight.

I got the matte black 7. I wanted the jet black, but cost and availability were not on my side.

I love the 7. The screen is the best screen Apple has ever made. It's stunning. The sound is much better: much louder. I like the home button and taptic feedback. I haven't noticed any improvement in speed or picture quality, which is not to say they're not there.

stop spewing lies.
Do you work for apple? How many previous iOS devices have we had over the last 9 that got slower with new iOS releases?

Then the "cost" to upgrade for you is really $520 not $100 as you're never going to get that $420 back. Or I've misunderstood your quote.

I actually did work for apple for about 5 1/2 years and I didn't sell things if thats what you're thinking. Whats your point, your still spewing nonsense about planned obsolescence. You don't know what you're talking about so no point in arguing.

nMP, 2014 Mac Mini with soldered memory & security Torx screws, rMBP All UN-upgradable compared to their forebears. That's planned obsolescence.
